Knowledge base 126: AsureID Program running slow or will not load at all.

There is a 2GB limit on the MS Access database,
If this limit is reached then the software will crash or run very slowly, you may also notice there are padlocks in the data entry area.

  1. Firstly note your Asure ID license details, they can be found in the file menu, options, licensing page (if the software can be loaded)

  2. Please copy your Asure ID database file onto your desktop, it is named Asure ID.mdb and located here C:\ProgramData\HID Global\Asure ID\AsureID.mdb

  3. Please keep in mind that the “Program Data” folder is a hidden folder. The hidden folder viewing options need to be changed to display it.

  4. Hidden files and folders. The option is found in the control panel, folder options, View, Hidden file and folders, select the Show option.

  5. When the database is safely saved onto your desktop, use the add and remove programs feature to un-install the application. Remember to use the deactivate license feature and copy the license number down somewhere safe ready to reuse.

  6. Then delete the Asure ID folder – C:\ProgramData\HID Global\Asure ID.

  7. Re install Asure ID using IA installer

  8. Copy your database file back into the location c:\Program Data\HID Global\Asure ID 2009\

  9. And finally open the application and use your license code to activate the software.
