Knowledge base 206: Updating MorphoManager to version 15.4.3
To update MorphoManager to V15.4.3 a two stage update is required for versions of MorphoManager less than 14.6.1. Firstly you must upgrade to V14.6.1 and then onwards to V15.4.3, this is as per the IDEMIA installation guide.
Requirements -
Internet Access
PC Administrator Privileges on all PC's that have MorphoManager Client or Server installed.
All Windows Updates installed
Stop the MorphoManager Server
1. Open "MorphoManager Server Manager"
2. Stop the MorphoManager Server Service
Backup the database
SQL Compact Database Backup -
1. Open "MorphoManager Database Backup Tool"
2. Start Backup
3. Check the selected location for the backup and then proceed to the next stage.
SQL Server Backup -
To Backup SQL you can either back the system up using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, otherwise follow our Knowledge base below on how to install and setup SQL Backup Master.

If you use the SQL Backup Master knowledge base to proceed with your backups, the instance name will most likely NOT be (local)\IdentityAccess as described. If the PC is only being used for MorphoManager you can insert (local) . The SQL User SA password may also be different to that noted in the knowledge base.
Download and Install MorphoManager 14.6.1.1
1. Use the following link to download MorphoManager 14.6.1.1 https://www.controlsoft.com/downloads/MorphoManager_14_6_1_1.zip
2. Extract the newly downloaded "MorphoManager Installer 14_6_1_1" and run the "MorphoManagerServerSetup_14_6_1_1" and follow the instructions in the installation wizard.
3. Click Finish to complete the installation.
If the installation fails, Do NOT continue. Contact Controlsoft Technical Support - support@controlsoft.com
4. Repeat the above installation steps but use "MorphoManagerClientSetup_14_6_1_1" for the client part of the installation .
Run MorphoManager Client and Register
1. Open the MorphoManager Server Manager
2. If the Server is "Stopped", click on the "Start Service" button
If the Service does not start - DO NOT proceed with these instructions. Contact Controlsoft Technical Support - support@controlsoft.com
5. Open MorphoManager Client and Login. You will be prompted to register the product. Click Yes.
6. Click Register Online and complete the form to register the software.
Install the latest version of MorphoManager
1. Go to https://www.morphomanager.com/ and select the latest version setup files.
2. Click the Download Button for the selected Setup Files
3. Fill in the web form with your information. You will then receive an email with the download link for the MorphoManager software.
4. Once downloaded, extract the installation files and run the MorphoManagerServerSetup first as you did above.
5. Once the Server installation has completed, run the MorphoManagerClientSetup as you did above.
6. Restart your PC and run MorphoManager as usual.
After this has upgraded you may find that the Firmware in the MA readers will need upgrading also. To do this please follow the guide below:
