Knowledge Base 232 : How to apply a iNet security patch

The Guide shows the process to apply iNet Security Patches to iNet 1DR & 2DR controllers 
Notes
 iNet Security patches can only by applied to 1DR and 2DR iNet controllers running firmware Version 9.053, 9.054 & 9.063

Firmware of iNet Controllers can be checked using the Stats button in Identity Access



Warning
It is not recommend to apply iNet security patches to iNet controllers running firmware version 9.052 or below  

1. Type in the IP Address of the controller into a web browser.

2. At the "Your connection is not private" message, click "Advanced" and click "Proceed to".

3. Login to the iNet door controller. using the password set on installation.  

4. Select "i-Net Configuration"

5. Select "Firmware Upload"


6. Click "Choose File" under the Upload section, browse to the .ipk file downloaded from our website.


7. Select Upload, once the file shows "Your file was uploaded successfully" press "Install".


8. When the message appear saying "The package XXX.ipk was installed successfully", the iNet will restart and perform its update. You can close the browser.
The controller may be down for 5 minutes, during this time do not disturb/ down power the iNet door controller.


9. Once the controller is back on the network, you can check that the patch is applied, by logging into the webpage, selecting "iNet configuration"

10. Select "Firmware Upload"


11. The security patch version is shown. 



12. Once the unit is back online within Identity Access, go to "System" > "Controllers" Single click the controller, and select the  icon.  



13. Press "Yes" to the Prompt, this will re-send all the data to the controller.
