Knowledge base 183: Omnikey 5427, OMN-1051, OMN-1052, IA-DTR Quick Setup Guide
Prerequisites:
- An internet connection (to download the drivers)
- Know what format your card/tags are encoded with
- PC running Windows 10 with enough privileges to download and run the drivers
- Download the file under “OMN-5427-CK/IA-DTR/OMN-1051/OMN-1052 Drivers” from the Controlsoft website Software downloads area.
- Click Login on www.controlsoft.com (email support@controlsoft.com for the login details).
- Unzip the file, browse to the “Software” folder and run the relevant ‘.exe’ file for your operating system (x86 version for 32 bit O/S or x64 version for 64-bit O/S).
- Reboot the PC if instructed to do so.
- Plug the Enrolment Reader into the PC’s USB socket.
- Open an internet browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome and enter the address http://192.168.63.99/ to access the enrolment reader’s internal webpage.
- Select the [System Config] tab and click on the field next to the [Upload Config] button. Browse to the required configuration file. You will need to choose the relevant configuration for your cards. If you are unsure on which format your cards are in, contact your distributor.
- Click the [Upload Config] button then wait for the webpage to refresh. This can take up to 60 seconds.
- Test your desktop reader.
