Knowledge base 133: Identity Access 8 - Time & Attendance with a standalone Sigma / Sigma Lite + reader

The following knowledge base describes how to configure Identity Access to work with a standalone MA Sigma/ Sigma Lite + Series reader to allow for Time and attendance.
This is based on a biometric only scenario.

1. Ensure Identity Access is installed, watch the following video guide if needed - https://youtu.be/I_-1LdLbqhI

2. Next setup your Morpho Device Profile within the IA Server Configuration application accessed from the Start Menu > All Programs > Controlsoft > IA Server Configuration.

3. Edit the Default Profile by following the screenshot below -

4. Change the "Log retrieval interval (Seconds)" to a minimum of 60.


5. Click Next until you get to the Access Control Mode Settings.

6. Set Access Control Mode as "Standalone", ensure "Relay is active" is checked and the Relay Duration and push button settings are suitable -


7. Click Next for the Time and attendance settings and check "Time and Attendance Enabled" -


8. Click Next and then Finish.

9. Add the Morpho Device into the IA User Interface, tick "Reader is used for Time and Attendance" and ensure the "Default" profile is selected.


10. Click Accept.

11. Load the Download Server and click on "Biometric Devices" tab, click the "Refresh List" button. Ensure the reader comes online and perform a rebuild. Once the Device Status is “Ready” and the Tasks are 0 go to the next stage.

12. From the IA User Interface add a new Group. Management > Groups > Click the green plus icon

13. Under the Group properties, tick "Time and Attendance Group"


14. Select the "Morpho Readers" tab in the Group Properties and tick the reader you created earlier.
