Knowledge base 178: Identity Access 9 - Sigma series reader with an LCD display for Pin & Biometric

This KB explains how to create a custom Biometric profile for a Sigma Series reader (LED Model required) for Pin & Bio using Identity Access version 9.
This KB is based on the Biometric reader being wired into an i-Net Plus V3 door controller and having IA V9 already installed

Required:
IA-PRO / IA-ENT license (contact sales@controlsoft.com if you do not have a license).


Firstly load up the IA Configuration program from the Start menu > Controlsoft > IA Configuration, login using the Admin credentials then choose Biometrics on the left shown below (1).

Highlight the existing pre-made Biometric or Pin – ACU mode config (2) then click on Duplicate (3).



This will bring you to the following screen, please amend the name to AND pin.

 

Click Next until you see the Multi-Factor settings

Click Dual Authentication (shown below) -



Click Next until you see the Finish button.

Now go back to Identity Access Setup > Morpho readers add or edit and existing reader and choose this new Biometric device profile (as shown below) -




Ensure your reader is assigned to a Group from Management > Groups

Once the reader had finished rebuilding (shown in the IA Download Server UI) you then need to edit the reader properties again, this time set the Device Profile to External (shown below)



Install and then load up Morpho Tool box from the link at the beginning of this KB.

Connect to the reader


Then choose  Device settings 

Search for  wiegand.event (shown below in the screenshot)

Change the following parameters (as shown in the screenshot below)
wiegand.event_identify to -1 
and 
wiegand.event_verify_fail to -1

Lastly, in Identity Access enroll a user and set the employee/visitor/contractor's 'Primary token number' as the pin number.
