What are the different databases used for in Identity Access?

Identity Access has 7 databases in total, below is a list of what each database is used for:
  1. IAMAIN - This holds the configuration values for the system, including the user and controller-related data.
  2. IAACCESSLOG - This holds the access control events data, this database is queried when running an Access Log report and shows all who, where and when someone was logged as using an access control reader.
  3. IASYSTEMLOG - This holds all system-related logs, including Controller network status, exit button, alarms, adding, editing or modifying in the software.
  4. IATALOG - Like the IAACCESSLOG however this only stores events from readers and groups that have been checked for Time and Attendance logging. A separate database is used so only information relevant to attendance is within the database, meaning third-party systems can easily run a report on our database.
  5. IAACCLOGBUFFER / IASYSLOGBUFFER / IATALOGBUFFER- On busy systems, the amount of processing required to download logs can become large, the buffer databases are used to free space and makes our system incredibly reliable so logs are not lost by not being processed correctly into their own database. These databases do not need to be backed up as they should be blank until they are required for processing large amounts of logs.
