Knowledge base 212: Adding Keys to Signo / iClass mobile readers via the HID Reader Manager App.

Downloading and registering the App -​

Please download the HID Reader Manager App from the following links -



Once installed please register yourself in the app, then contact the administrator of your mobile portal to confirm your  email address and request access to the required Mobile key.


 Adding mobile keys to the readers.

 First ensure your Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile phone, then run the "HID Reader Manager" application.

Once you're logged in you will see the following screen - 

Select scan for readers. 




You will now see a list of readers, the lower the -dBm number 
the closer they are to your phone. 

Select the reader and Select 1. Inspect.




Select Detailed Configuration. 




Power cycle your reader if prompted.




Select keys.




Select Add Keys




Select the required mobile key




Select add to the template. 




Select Apply selected items.




The keys will be written to the reader.




Once completed the following screen will be displayed.
