Knowledge base 90: Using MorphoManager BioBridge & Identity Access 8


1.    First install Identity Access (IA), follow the Installation Guide available with the download or IA USB Stick.

2.    Next log into Identity Access to do this run the IA User Interface –

Windows Start Button > All Programs/All Apps> Controlsoft > IA User Interface.

3.    Log in with the Admin Credentials (Default: Username= Admin and Password= Password).

4.    Add your controller(s) door(s) and card reader(s) as per the Installation Guide.

5.    Next create a Group which will eventually contain the Users who require Biometric Enrolment. To do this Select Management > Groups.

6.    Click the green plus  and Type a name for the group.

7.    From the Card Readers Menu assign the Card readers which have been created to link to the Biometric devices and click Accept.

8.    Close the IA User Interface.

9.    Now set the IP address of the Biometric reader to be in the same range as the IA Server, this can be achieved using Morpho Tool Box available from our website www.controlsoft.com.

10. Next install the MorphoManager Server & Client software directly onto the IA Server.

11. For the latest version of MorphoManager browse to www.morphomanager.com.

12. Install the Morpho Server & Client then restart the machine.

13. Once restarted, log back in to windows and run MorphoManager Client - Windows Start Button > All Programs/All Apps> MorphoManager > MorphoManager Client.

14. Log in with administrator and password (this can be changed if required from the User Menu in MorphoManager).

15. Select [Administration] followed by [Biometric Device] from the left-hand menu.

16. Click [Add] from the Biometric Device menu at the top and give the device a name.

17. (Optional) Fill out Descriptions, Location, Asset ID and Export Value.

18. Ensure Time Zone is set for correct country.

19. Select correct Hardware Family for the reader being installed.

20. For Hostname\IP Address - Type IP address of the reader.

21. Leave the port number as 11010.

22. For Biometric Device Profile select Default.

23. Skip time & attendance and Onsite Offsite settings as this will be handled by Identity Access, (Time & Attendance requires IA-PRO license).

24. Now click Finish.

25.    Next click Biometric Device Profile from the left-hand menu.

26.    Click [Edit] from the Biometric Device Profile Menu at the top then click [Next].

27.    Under General settings use a 26bit Wiegand profile and click [Next].

28.    For Multi-Factor Mode settings choose a setting which is compatible with your Morpho reader. If the Morpho reader has a card reader installed, select the card technology here, if not use Biometric Only.  Click [Next].

29.    Access Control Mode Settings use Integrated.

30.    Panel Feedback Mode select LED In (we recommend wiring the Morpho readers Green LED to the iNet Controller) then click [Finish].

31.    Now go to User Policy and set the Access Mode to ‘Per User’.

32.    Next set the Wiegand Profile to Standard 26 bit and click [Finish].

33.    Now select User Distribution Group from the Administration menu.


34. Click [Add] from the top menu, type a name to match the Group in IA and click [Next].

35. Select the biometric device to which this group requires access and click [Next].

36. Tick which Morpho Client PC’s are allowed to enroll users into this group then click [Finish].

37. Next go to System Configuration from the left-hand menu.

 

38. Select BioBridge from the top menu.

39. For the System setting choose Identity Access and click Configure connection.

40.    Type the SQL Server address as localhost\identityaccess

41.    Database: IAMain.

42.    Click ‘Use SQL Server User & Password.

43.    Type the username sa and password C0ntr0lS0ftAdm1n@! (note zeros are used instead of o’s), then click [OK].

44.    For Wiegand Profile leave this as default.

45.    For Groups Mode select Manual.

46.    Leave all other settings as default unless instructed to change by Controlsoft Technical support.

47.    If you have more than one User Policy, you can tick Enable Forced User Policy otherwise leave it unticked.

48.    Now you can map your IA Groups to the User Distribution Groups in MorphoManager (see screenshot below) -

49. Once this is done, click [Save].

50. Close MorphoManager.

51. Now open Identity Access Server Configuration -

 Windows Start Button > All Programs/All Apps> Controlsoft > IA Server Configuration.

52. Select the Log in button at the bottom left and type the Admin Credentials.

53.  Click configuration and tick ‘Use MorphoManager’ (See screenshot below) -


54. Click Accept

55. Plug in your MSO device (which must have a Verif License) and wait for the Drivers to be installed.

56. Next got to Management > Employees, click the green tick to add a user.

57. Type first name, Last name and add a token Number starting from 1

58. Tick the group you created earlier which was mapped to MorphoManager.

59. Select the Finger Print Tab and click Capture with MorphoManager (See Screen Shot below) -


60. Type in the MorphoManager Administrator and Password.

61. Select the User Policy (Unless you chose to force the policy earlier).

62. Click Next.

63. Capture Web Cam photo (if not required this can be disabled in the MorphoManager User policy).

64. Click Next.

65. Enroll Biometrics by clicking the picture of the hand.

66. Once both index fingers have been enrolled click Finish.
