This bulletin explains how to install and configure MorphoManager with Sigma series readers for either Standalone mode or ACU mode (for use with access control systems).
Equipment required -
1. PC/Server running the following spec -
Processor: Dual Core CPU
RAM: 4 GB
Ports: Three USB ports
Network: 100Mbs Ethernet port required for client/server connections. Internet Access: Required for updates. (If no internet access is available, updates can be installed via USB memory stick or CD Rom)
Screen Resolution: 1080p

2. MSO 300/1300 enrollment reader
Installing MorphoManager -
First download the latest MorphoManager Server install file & the MorphoManager Client install file from
www.morphomanager.com
Once those 2 files are downloaded please run the MorphoManager Server install. By default, the Morpho server uses a SQL compact database unless you specify otherwise during the install. (Speak to our support for assistance with SQL Express install if needed).
Install the MorphoManager client software on the same machine or a machine that can be networked back over the LAN to the MorphoManager server.
Configuring Sigma Series readers for standalone mode (mag/strike locks) or ACU Mode (iNet controller etc) -
1. Log into MorphoManager -
Username:
administrator
Password:
password
2. When you log in for the first time you must register the software, generate an activation file and use the license activation portal found
here
3. When you have finished registering click 'Administration'.
4. Click '
Biometric Device Configuration' and edit the
Default profile.
5. Leave all the settings above as they are and click
Next.
6. For the wiegand profile either use the below recommendation -
If using the biometric reader in standalone mode (built-in relay)-
Keep this as the 64bit randomly generated number unless you wish to manually type an identifiable number for each enrollment
Stand-alone mode with sigma series readers requires the door contact connections (10 & 12 on the pigtail) to be linked out if not used.
Or if using the biometric ACU Mode (with an ACU) -
Set this to match the format required by your ACU controller (26bit etc) If your format isn't listed, please contact
controlsoft support
7. Click
Next
8. Multi-factor mode keep as Biometric Only and click
Next
9. Access control mode use the following setting for the Access control mode -
Integrated (default) = For use with Access control systems to enable the wiegand output
Stand-alone = For use with the onboard relay & RTE (if required) enabled by using the tick boxes shown below -
10. If you require access schedules in Standalone mode, Click
Next until you see
Enable Access Schedules tick this box then click finish.
11. if access schedules aren't required, click
Finish.
12. From here choose
Biometric Device and click
Add.
13. Fill out the minimum information shown below then click
Finish -
14. Wait for the reader to show online and then check the tasks all complete at the bottom of the screen.
15. The reader will reboot during this time and once it's back online you can then continue.
16. For ACU mode, edit the default
User Policy for the correct wiegand profile settings and click
finish, otherwise continue to step 17.
17. Click on
User Management then click on
Add
18. Fill out all the required details clicking
Next through each screen, ensure if you are using ACU mode to match the card number with the user in the access system.
19. Ensure your MSO 300/1300 USB enrollment reader is plugged into the machine, then click on the index finger icons of each hand to enrol (minimum of 2 fingers per user), present the same finger 4 times during enrollment.
20. Test the bio reader to ensure the enrollment has been successful and the door unlocks.
